Gold Ribbon Hero Norah Abigail S

“Norah is a sweet and sensitive 5 year old who witnessed first hand her older brother Rohan (7 years old) being sick and diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor just 23 months ago. Rohan’s passion were Legos and so in his honor and memory, we created gold Lego ribbons to wear, to create awareness and thereby funding towards research. Norah is our child advocate who proudly wears her gold Lego ribbon everywhere and opens up conversations about her brother, the cancer and how it took away his life. Through a cancer camp she attended in June, she knows the key words Aware and Research and she is doing her best in making other kids familiar with these terms. Her one way of doing so is by offering her gold Lego ribbons to anyone who wants them for a donation. She is an active fundraiser for the Seattle Run of Hope 5K, a run that is done yearly in Sept to raise awareness and funds for Pediatric Brain Tumor Research at Seattle Children’s. Her fundraising page is http://www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/NorahUmdor-Singh/2014. Here is a quote from her page: ‘September is childhood cancer month and I choose to turn this month GOLD by wearing my Lego ribbon every single day and talk about my brother and cancer.'” – Cammy U-S.
