“Reason this person is a Gold Ribbon Hero: Mason was a beautiful blue eyed boy with the biggest heart and most compassionate soul. He was diagnosed with brain cancer at the age of 11 and died from it 11 months later at the age of 12. His short life touched many and continues to do so. He loved his family and friends fiercely and his spirit lives on in those who love him. Mason always had a hug for everyone and was a friend to all. We honor Mason’s memory through his foundation by raising awareness, furthering research, and increasing funds for childhood cancer, especially brain cancer.
