“Reason this person is a Gold Ribbon Hero: I would like to nominate my son, Gavin Still, and share his story.
Gavin started having headaches in August of 2015 and was diagnosed on August 30th with a brain tumor at the age of 7. He has Medulloblastoma. He underwent brain surgery to remove the tumor along with two other procedures and is now at St. Jude Children’sResearch Hospital. He went through 6 weeks of radiation in which he was sedated each time and is on round 3 of his 7 round chemo protocol. Gavin recently celebrated his 8th Birthday!! No matter what has been thrown his direction, he has managed to get through it and with a smile on his face. Everyone knows him by his sweet, precious smile. He is the sweetest, bravest kid I know and is forever MY HERO!! Thank you!!”- Stephanie Still
