THE 2018 NATIONAL AWARENESS TREE EVENT
Thanks to The City of Newport Beach and its Chamber of Commerce, we are excited to share that this year the tree will stand tall again at the Marina Park in Newport Beach, CA, for anyone who is able to visit! The 2018 National Childhood Cancer Awareness Tree will again be a part of the 109th Newport Beach, California Holiday Boat Parade taking place on Wednesday, December 19th to Sunday, December 23rd. The National Awareness Tree will once again “Light Up the Holidays with Hope” and will adorn thousands of gold ribbons, each ribbon bearing the name, age, and state of a child who has been diagnosed with cancer.
FIREWORKS
On the opening night of the parade on Wednesday, December 19 at approximately 6:15 pm, a special opening fireworks display will take place off the Newport Pier to kick off the parade. Then, on the final night of the parade, Sunday, December 23rd, a special fireworks display will close out the parade from the Balboa Pier. Beginning at approximately 9:00 pm, the fireworks will be visible from all around the harbor.
