MAKE A DONATION

American Childhood Cancer Organization (ACCO) relies on the generosity of people like you to provide funds that will offer the support, information and services to families going through one of the toughest fights of their life. With your donation, we can reach more families to ensure they are not alone. ACCO has been helping families since 1970, and we continue to help those who are facing this disease still today. Your donation will be used where it is most needed at the time, or you can request that your donation is directed to a specific program or project.

With your permission, we will use personal information collected from you to send you information, such as updates on our organization or information regarding updates on childhood cancer legislation and medical breakthroughs, as well as fundraising initiatives. If you do not elect to receive such materials, we will not send them to you.

ACCO is committed to following the donor bill of rights, the widely-accepted national standard of fundraising ethics and principles created and adopted by the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the American Association of Fundraising Counsel.

HOW YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS HELP

INFORMATION

We are constantly creating, printing, mailing, and reprinting books and brochures that address specific aspects of childhood cancer. ACCO provides the most appropriate material to our family’s unique needs, often written or edited by those who have been there. A donation of $50 will pay for 2-3 books for a family who just had a child diagnosed with cancer.

RESEARCH

The identification of therapeutic targets is essential to future progress in identifying more effective therapies for children with cancer. We are proud to support this research as it is applied to childhood/adolescent cancer. Your donation will help ensure that research is directed where it is most needed – at finding a treatment that kills the cancer cells, not the healthy cells.

ADVOCACY AND AWARENESS

ACCO represents childhood cancer on numerous national cancer policy forums. We bring the voice of the nation’s littlest cancer patients to these cancer committees to enhance access to quality care. Your donation will help us develop material to educate communities and legislators about our families and their needs.
